Artwork Guidelines

At Signwaves, we’re committed to ensuring your designs are produced to the highest possible standard. To help us achieve the best results and avoid unnecessary delays or charges, please follow the artwork guidelines below when preparing your files for print. 

Submitting Print-Ready Artwork

Artwork Templates
Simply download our Signwaves artwork templates which are located within the Google Drive resources link on the relevant product page. If you have any problems locating the artwork template please contact our customer service team at customerservice@signwaves.co.uk or call 01493 419300 (option 2).

    Colour Space & File Setup
    All files must be created and exported in CMYK colour space.

    • Convert all RGB images and colours to CMYK.
    • Embed all Pantone® colours into your artwork (if not possible please state the Pantone® reference on your artwork.

    Bleed
    Please use the bleed indicated on our artwork templates. We highly recommend using our artwork templates. If this is not possible, please use a minimum of 5mm bleed.

      File Requirements

      • Designed to 100% scale of the finished product at 300dpi.
      • Export artwork as a high-resolution, editable PDF (uncompressed).
      • All images must be embeded into your artwork.
      • All fonts must be outlined.
      • Native editable files accepted, if the above requirements are met - Ai, SVG, EPS, PSD, INDD, JPG, PNG

      Submission & Proofing Process

      Submit Artwork

      • Upload via your online account for large files, or email under 5 MB to orders@signwaves.co.uk.
      • Larger files can be supplied via WeTransfer

      Proofing
      Our graphics team will send you a low-resolution PDF proof for approval. 

      Artwork Creation

      Artwork Support
      Our graphics team will take your submitted print-ready artwork, set it up for print making it press-ready artwork. Reasonable amends to submitted artwork is undertaken free of charge. 

      Artwork Charges
      If you are unable to submit print ready artwork in our template our graphics team are able to provide support, which will incur a charge. All assets and elements need to be supplied with a design brief detailed (suggested layout style, colours to use etc).

      Our team will be in contact to provide a quote for any chargeble work.

      Artworking indicative charges are as follows:

      • 15–30 mins: £25
      • 30–60 mins: £50
