Artwork Guidelines
At Signwaves, we’re committed to ensuring your designs are produced to the highest possible standard. To help us achieve the best results—and avoid unnecessary delays or charges—please follow the artwork guidelines below when preparing your files for print. Whether you’re supplying press-ready artwork or need support from our in-house team, this page outlines everything you need to know to get started.
Colour Space & File Setup
All files must be in CMYK colour space for reliable, repeatable print results.
- Convert all RGB images and colours to CMYK.
- Convert all spot (Pantone) colours to CMYK for digital printing.
- If your print job specifies Pantone (for screen printing), please specify them clearly.
File Requirements
Preferred file formats:
- High-resolution, editable PDF (uncompressed).
- Or native editable files: Ai, SVG, EPS, PSD, INDD.
Images must be:
- 300 dpi at 100% scale, embedded, and in CMYK.
Fonts must be either outlined or supplied with the file.
Bleed & Templates
When using Signwaves templates:
- Simply download, place your design, and you’re done.
Without templates:
- Add at least 2 mm bleed, set at 100% scale, and remove any working dimensions or keylines.
