Cuts Benefit Norfolk School

9th December 2010   Following a thorough sort out of their workshop, Signwaves has donated 250kg of varied sheet materials to Taverham High School, Norfolk.   The donation includes Aluminium Composite Material (ACM), acrylic, polyethylene and polycarbonate sheets - production off-cuts which would otherwise have been recycled or sent to landfill.   Bernard Towers, Design and Technology Department Technician at Taverham High School:   “With diminishing budgets it is now very difficult for schools to access the more costly materials like acrylic and ACM, so this type of assistance from a local business is invaluable. The variety of materials being used across the East Norfolk region is quite remarkable and we have found that this kind of support stimulates innovation in school projects and assists to bridge the gap between education and industry.”
