At Signwaves, we’re passionate about print. Our experience goes back over 30 years, working with some of the biggest brands and retailers in the UK.

Our specialisms include large format screen-printing, digital printing and dye-sublimation, which means we can print onto virtually any material of almost any size and shape.

We regularly invest in new machinery and continually improve our processes. The most recent additions include a roll-fed digital printer (for flexible materials) and a ‘combi’ digital printer (for both rigid and flexible materials).

Screen Printing
Despite the rise of digital technology, Signwaves’ five screen printing lines are as busy as ever. We use environmentally-friendly water-based UV inks for indoor applications and up to 3 year outdoor applications, and solvent-based inks when 5+ year outdoor life is required.
Screen printing is ideal for:
  • Long runs (up to 1000's)
  • Vibrant spot colours requiring precise Pantone matching
  • Metallic colours
  • Over varnishing & flood coating
  • Extended outdoor life (5+ years)
Maximum screen print size: 1650 x 1100mm.

Digital Printing
Our state of the art flatbed digital Inca press can print direct onto virtually any substrate, including uneven surfaces, up to 3.2 x 1.6m, up to 30mm thick and 80kg in weight.

The combination of Sericols’ patented sub-micron ink dispersion technology, Inca’s sophisticated ink control system, and the 6 colour (2C, 2M, Y, K) set up produces outstanding quality. Light-fastness, durability and chemical resistance are superior too, with an outdoor life of up to 3 years without over laminating. Matt or gloss screen varnish can be applied post-digital to extend outdoor life and improve abrasion or chemical resistance if required.

Turnaround times are dramatically reduced as no laminating, overcoat or mounting is required. And with superb register accuracy and edge-to-edge printing, even trimming can be eliminated. No pre-press is needed, so set up times and artwork costs are virtually eliminated.

Digital printing is ideal for:
  • Short runs (1 – 200)
  • Prototypes and samples
  • Fast turnaround
  • Full colour photographic images
  • Illuminated panels
  • High definition, close up viewing
  • Printing onto unusual and uneven materials
  • Lenticular – 3D, flip, morph or animated print effects
